Engaged in teaching, advising, leadership, research & community service, she has also participated in blood donation, clean up & afforestation campaigns. With great passion in promoting healthy living, Yetnayet is interested to work in the areas of chronic diseases, disability, and healthy lifestyle. By being apart of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and a student at Queen’s University, Yetnayet wishes to expand her technical knowledge of health promotion and turn her focus towards their wide-scale applications in Ethiopia and Africa as a researcher, instructor and community service provider.
Doctoral research area: Current state of practice of polices, programs, and research on physical activity participation for persons with physical disabilities in Ethiopia/Africa/low- and middle-income countries.
