Abstract 34 male general offenders and 19 male sex offenders completed a battery of psychometric tests and participated in a 5-wk cognitive behavioral therapy program. Therapy sessions were designed to teach Ss ways of restructuring faulty thinking and improving social skills. Ss showed improvement in self-esteem and reduction in anxiety and aggressive traits, with sex offenders showing more improvement than general offenders.
