Abstract
Sexuality intertwines with our sense of self, our emotions, interactions with others, beliefs, and most other areas of our lives. It necessarily plays a role in sexual offending, either directly through sexually motivated crimes, or indirectly through the sexualization of anger or power. This chapter draws together research and theory on sexual arousal and sexual offending to create a model of conceptualizing offenders’ sexuality needs and problems. It then introduces sexuality education and therapy techniques for designing clinical interventions to address those needs. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved)
