The effectiveness of a Rational Emotive Behavioral Psychoeducational
group was studied. Also studied was the relationship between the Beck
Depression, Second Edition, The Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale, the
Hopelessness Depression Symptom Questionnaire and the Hamilton Rating
Scale for depression with the Kaufman Functional Academic Skills Test. Further
evaluation looked at the similarity in depression level endorsement between the
self-reported ratings and the clinician rated Hamilton Rating Scale for
Depression. No statistically significant findings regarding the use of Rational
Emotive Behavioral Therapy in a psychoeducational group were noted.
