- Setting:  Critical Access Hospital
- Location:  northern Vermont   
- Primarily Inpatient coverage along with two local nursing homes – some Outpatient coverage with CHT OT supervisor
- Primarily Ortho Patients – few Neuro cases
- Primarily Adult & Geriatric patients
- Some Pediatric patients in Outpaient – also opportunity to cover school setting (if interested)

1 Full-time Physiotherapist

This is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist looking to practice to their full scope of practice with a varied client base which includes hospital, long-term care, community and primary care. The Sole Charge Physiotherapist is responsible for management, planning, organizing, implementing and controlling the administrative and therapeutic activities of all Rehabilitation Services to ensure that an optimal level of services are available to the hospital, community and LTC. Rehabilitation services include but are not limited to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and activation.  The incumbent also provides all of the program’s physiotherapy treatment and services and will work with a multi-disciplinary team which includes an Occupational Therapist and PT/OT Assistant, as well as other health professionals from both the hospital and Family Health Team.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Canadian Physiotherapy program or, if educated outside Canada, have successfully completed the Canadian registration process
  • Licensed with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and member of the Canadian Physiotherapist Association
  • Strong experience in orthopedic, neurological, and cardio respiratory physiotherapy
  • Good knowledge of pediatric and gerontology population.
  • Bilingualism; French and English preferred
  • Previous management experience an asset

We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated professional to manage our Kingston operations and to lead our clinical team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Language Pathologists, and Registered Dietitians.
As the successful candidate you will have: 

  • Current registration with a Regulated Health Professional College
  • A strong background in community rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication skills to motivate therapists and therapy team leads
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills in a management role
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Experience with Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) will be considered an asset.
