Research:

Anne is part of a group of faculty exploring the area of Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice and is particularly interested in the patient/client perspective.

Anne was the Clinical Educator in the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (OIPEP) for 10 years in the Faculty of Health Sciences with primary responsibility for providing a clinical perspective and expertise to Interprofessional activities and projects. As part of this role, Anne was Project Manager for two Health Force Ontario funded research projects exploring collaborative practice. Anne has also been involved in international projects with the International Centre for Community Based Rehabilitation (ICACBR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Bangladesh, and was a facilitator in the online certificate program Community Based Rehabilitation and International Development. Anne was part of the research team working on the Compassionate Collaborative Primary Care project funded by the AMS Phoenix Calling to Caring Project. She also co-teaches the Interprofessional Collaborative Education course at the Bader International Study Centre in the UK.


Teaching:

Anne is a Lecturer in the Occupational Therapy Program. She coordinates the Lived Experience of Disability course (OT825). With the closure of the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice in the summer of 2016, Anne will take the lead in coordinating interprofessional education opportunities within the School of Rehabilitation Therapy.
