Our organizing committee is comprised of volunteers representing the School’s decades of graduates, from each educational specialty. Without this wonderful, dedicated group of alumni, this celebration would not be possible.
It is not too late to get involved! We welcome volunteers to assist us with planning activities, tracking down classmates, and expanding our network. Alumni are also needed to assist with the compilation of stories, photos and memories, representing the School's fifty-year history. Whatever your location, availability or interests, there are opportunities for involvement! NHere are some of the committees for which we are seeking membership:
- Legacy Project Committee: to provide a documented history of how the School of Rehabilitation came to be and to recognize and celebrate the last 50 years. To create this a long-lasting history, we need volunteers to assist in collecting individual memories (oral and written histories), historic information and photos and documents tracing the SRT's development.
- Hospitality and Welcome Volunteers: to provide assistance and serve as greeters at our Speaker Series events and/or at the Gala Dinner and Cocktail Reception.
- Music/Entertainment Committee Volunteers: to assist in planning and coordinating entertainment at the Gala pre-dinner Reception and during the Gala event.
- Decorations/Flowers and Displays Committee Volunteers: to assist in planning for historic/memorabilia displays with the Museum of Health Care during the anniversary year and at the Gala Event. Assist with planning and decorating the ballroom and tables.
To become involved, alumni are encouraged to get in touch with the School's 50th Anniversary Coordinator, Cheryl Descent, at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
